Headquartered in London, Advanced Oncotherapy was formed through the acquisition of ADAM SA, a medical spin-off from CERN – the European Organization for Nuclear Research. As one of the world's largest and most respected centres for scientific research, CERN created the Large Hadron Collider, the most powerful particle accelerator ever built.

Advanced Oncotherapy is focused on developing and manufacturing a ground-breaking proton beam therapy system called “LIGHT” (for Linac Image Guided Hadron Technology), that accelerates protons in a linear way, which is unique. This has multiple implications:

•             Protons can be delivered with far greater precision, in position and in the level of energy;

•             Protons can be delivered with a cost reduction of up to 80% vs. legacy systems, making proton therapy a reality for a majority of people;

•             It is possible to install such a system in the centre of any major large capital city in the world, typically where leading cancer hospitals and cancer centres are located.

Advanced Oncotherapy continually monitors the market for any emerging improvements in delivering proton therapy and highly values their collaboration with the PravDA project around innovative imaging techniques. Through these relationships, the Company will remain the prime provider of an innovative and cost‐effective system for particle therapy with protons.
