Joint Head of the Radiotherapy Physics group at the Arden Cancer Centre.

Spyros's clinical interests are in the support of new trials and the implementation of advanced radiotherapy treatment techniques, like Image Guided Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy. Ultimately Spyros would like to facilitate the provision of optimal individualized treatments, through Molecularly Guided Adaptive Radiotherapy. Spyros is a keen technology developer, with extensive experience in the R&D of detectors for ionising radiation, having instigated and followed through the transfer of technology developed in particle physics to medical applications, through a number of research projects. Spyros has managed multiple projects resourced with multi-skilled and multi-national teams involving clinical scientists, academics, healthcare practitioners and industrialists and raised considerable research funding
